Urban Chic for the Holidays

If you are looking for a unique setting to have portraits done, then I've got just the place. I have found a great spot here in Canton that I have used recently for some "not your traditional" holiday shoots. I won't be posting those yet since they will be used for my clients Christmas cards and gifts. I don't want to spoil the surprise for them! Instead I used bribery(as always) and had my sweet Olivia ham it up for the camera. She actually enjoyed this session because of the "cool wall", as she put it.

Miss C turns 2!!

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of working with little Miss C again. This time we combined a fall session along with her 2nd birthday. We met at a local barn nearby( C and her parents are my neighbors) which looked great with the outfit her Mom dressed her in. After a few shots there we headed down the street to another great spot to watch her enjoy some cake. It's always a pleasure to work with Miss C and her family. Happy Birthday, big girl!

Anxiously awaiting Baby Layla

I am a few weeks behind on this post but I wanted to get the Mother-to-be's permission before I posted her pics. I had the pleasure of shooting Beth's maternity portraits last month. Her and her husband, Michael, were a blast to work with! They are awaiting the birth of their first child, a little girl, due any day now and I can't wait to go back to their home to shoot her newborn pics. Congrats Beth and Mike and prayers for a safe arrival for little Miss Layla!

Back to work with Little Miss C.

It feels like an eternity since I have last posted a session preview, but I am finally back among the living! After a wonderful vacation at the beach I was knocked down with strep right as I got home. I managed to recover in time to meet up with one of my neighbors little ones, Miss C. C is 18 months old and she first came to me back in the early spring when I held the live bunny sessions. We met up at another neighbors house who has a yard to rival most botanical gardens! She even set up a "tea party" for us! And being an 18 month old, she kept me on the move the entire shoot but we still managed to get some great shots. Enjoy a little sneak peek.

Baby, you're a STAR!!!!!

Saturday afternoon was Olivia's big dance recital, and I have to say it was one of her best ever! This is her 4th year dancing and she performed in 3 dances in two costumes this year. Her tap and ballet routines were magician themed and the hip-hop was an 80's throw-back look. Old school Madonna look but the music was Miley Cyrus' "Party in the USA". It was sooo adorable. I wish I had video to share but alas, not photo or video during the recital. Oh well, you'll just have to take my word for it. Well, another dance year comes to an end and no one could be happier about that then our checkbook! :) Those of you with kids in dance know what I'm talking about. Even though the year is long, once you see your child up on stage, it makes it all worth it!

Spring is in the air!
